Engine Mounts

The picture on the right shows the mounts bolted to a block.

The Prima block has pads drilled and tapped for suitable engine mounts for the Land Rover. I make the mounts from 5mm steel. The mounts are designed so the engine and gearbox needs sliding forwards 8 mm, this is to gain a bit more clearance between block/head and bulkhead, sometimes the engine is to close to the bulkhead. It's usually no problem to loosen the gearbox mounts and pull the box forwards on the mounts this much.

The alternator needs relocating so a new alternator mount is needed. The Montego alternator adjusting strap can be used, it needs a 10 mm hole drilling in it. Click HERE for a picture of the alternator strap.

The mounts are made with the square Land Rover diesel rubber mounts in mind but the petrol mounts can be used.

The mounts are £100 for the set of three.
