New Adapter |

The adapter was designed and modeled in 3d using solidworks. The casting is done in LM25 and heat-treated to TF. I have the castings done by a local foundry and machine them in house. The casting encloses the starter, sealing the old starter opening in the bellhousing, without needing odd scraps of sheet metal gluing over the old openings. The crankshaft is indexed at TDC, for timing, by putting a 6.75 mm[17/64" fit's] drill, or pin, through a hole in the adapter plate and into a hole in the flywheel. You can stick the adapter to a block with silicon, it will seal but a gasket is a good idea. I don't supply gaskets at the moment but I might in the near future. The rear crankshaft oil seal fit's into the central hole in the adapter. the oil seal has a part number xxx772 with most suppliers, it's dimensions are 4.125x.375x3.5 [inches]. Adapter plates are £200. |
