ADJUSTMENTS (Cont'd)

DRY PLATE FRICTION CLUTCH 33 is accessible for adjustement behind cover "D". With clutch disengaged, pull out spring loaded pin 34, rotate outer ring 35 clockwise and index pin 34 to suitable position. One hole should suffice care being taken to avoid excessive load on clutch plates.

DRIVE MOTOR BELTS. are adjusted by slakening the four hexagon head screws in motor platform and sliding in elongated slots. The belts should not be taught.

SPINDLE AND FEED BELTS. are provided with adjustable jockey pulleys.

CONTACTOR STARTERS. housed under cover "C" are correctly adjusted before despatch, but in the event of an accidental overload and the motor refusing to start, first press re-set button 31 and proceed as under HEADSTOCK. Should further adjustment be neccessary, access may be obtained by removal of cover "e;C"e;

START-STOP push buttons to spindle and pump are interconnected, spindle STOP button also switches off pump motor.
