C.V.A No. 1A Precision Lathe

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
INSTALLATION
UNPACKING.
After unpacking, check enclosures carefully to invoice. The following parts are packed with machine as standard Equipment:-
3 H.P Motor and control gear, 440 volt, 3 phase, 50 cycles.
Face plate, 11" dia. Complete withe studs.
Drive Plate, 5" dia. Complete with studs.
Spindle sleeve and No. 2 Morse centre for Headstock.
Tailstock centre, No. 2 Morse.
Spindle sleeve ejector rod.
Set of three spanners and keys.
Drill chuck, shank and key, 3/8" capacity.
Follow rest with Spare Jaw.
SLINGING.
The cabinet base is provided with holes for the insertion of
lifting bars to ensure a safe and easy means of hoisting.
Warning.Lifting by alternative methods may result in
damage to the machine or it's fitments. Reference should be
made to Lifting Diagram, opposite, before slinging.
POSITIONING
Allowance should be made for the removal of belt guards "A" and "B", electrical cover "C", and it should be noted that excess room is required to compartments "C" and "D" for maintenance purposes.
If a batch of C.V.A lathes is being installed, they should be set with the axis at 12° approx., to facilitate insertion and removal of the collet draw tube or knockout bar.
